The Texas Parents as Teachers Leadership Summit unites supervisors from across Texas for two days of professional development. This year’s Summit is themed “Letter of the Day - R: Recruitment, Retention, Resilience.” Presenters will address causes and symptoms of Adverse Childhood Experiences and a supervisor panel will share best practices around the recruitment and retention of staff and families. We will learn about how children are faring during the 86th legislative session and how we can best build protective factors and resilient families. Our 2019 agenda provides ample room to get to know other PAT leaders from around the state. We will our first day with a reception honoring Elaine Shiver and her 33 years as the Texas Parents as Teachers State Leader.
